Dr Stephen Lising. Principal Dentist. BDS Hons (Syd), FRACDS
Dr Steve strives for perfection in all areas of dentistry, and leads his team through example by making sure all patients are comfortable and receive the highest quality treatment every time. Dr Steve’s dedication to excellence shows in his clinical skills, while his empathy and attention to his patient’s needs are at the forefront of his work.
Dr Steve’s main areas of interest are complex treatment plans, and implant restorations.
Dr Ann Duong. Principal Dentist. BDS Hons (Syd), FRACDS, BA (ANU), GradDipBioAnth (ANU)

Dr Ann has a keen eye for detail and is meticulous in her approach to her work which is well suited to her special interest in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Ann likes to focus on complex treatment plans, veneers, crowns and smile enhancement procedures.
Dr Scott J-S Park. BDSc (Qld)
Dr Scott’s friendly and easy going nature makes patients feel right at home. With a combination of skill, knowledge and a genuine enjoyment of meeting new people, Dr Scott believes in working with his patients to arrive at a ‘complete solution’ for their dental needs.
Dr Scott’s special interests are dental implants, extractions and sleep dentistry.
Dr Deanne Carr. BDSc (Hons) Qld
Having joined us in 2016 after moving to Canberra from Queensland, Dr Deanne is a great asset to our practice. She is personable, approachable and experienced in all areas of general dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and dento-facial aesthetics. What Dr Deanne loves most about her job is “being able to help patients love their smile”.
Dr Deanne has received special training in the administration of wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers.
Dr Julian Oronos. BDS (JCU)
We welcomed Dr Julian into our practice in 2021. He has a warm, friendly approach to dental care, and he’s especially popular with children and anxious patients. Calming dental anxiety is a focus of his practice.
Dr Julian’s particular interests in dentistry include temporomandibular joint disorders, paediatric (children’s) dentistry, restorative and preventive dentistry.
Rachael Walton. Dental Hygienist
Rachael is an excellent clinician who respects all her patients’ needs and performs her work with an eye for detail. Our patients appreciate her thorough approach to patient care and her dedication to helping patients keep their mouth healthy for life. As a dental hygienist, Rachael’s role involves the cleaning and polishing of teeth, treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, taking X-rays and impressions and giving advice to help patients prevent dental problems.
Tennille Patchett. Dental Hygienist
Tennille has returned from maternity leave and we are so happy to have her back on board with our team.
Tennille has a gentle, caring and calm approach to her work which can put even the most anxious of patients at ease. Tennille is always happy to share her knowledge, and particularly enjoys treating children and setting them (as well as grown-ups) on the path to a lifetime of great teeth.
Annika Johansson. Dental Hygienist
Annika has been a part of the Preventive Dentistry team since 1992, making her our longest standing team member. She has a quiet pleasant nature which allows her to build an easy rapport with her patients. She grew up in Jonkoping, Sweden. She graduated from Dental Hygiene in 1991 at Falun University for Health Professionals. Prior to this she completed her Dental Assisting course and also studied Social Psychology.
Kristen Butler. Dental Hygienist
Kris, as she likes to be called, grew up in Perth, Kiama and then spent a number of years in Sydney. She completed her Bachelor of Oral Health degree at Newcastle University in 2010.
Sonya Kercher. Dental Hygienist
Sonya grew up in Canberra and completed her Dental Hygiene training in Adelaide. She has built up extensive experience working in various specialist and general practices in Melbourne, Sydney and overseas, before returning to Canberra.
Donna Shaw. Practice Manager
As Practice Manager, Donna has the role of ensuring the practice runs smoothly and that both patients and staff are well looked after. Always ready for a friendly chat, but efficient at the same time, Donna is the go-to person at the Practice. She grew up in Sydney and came to Canberra in 2002. She joined Preventive Dentistry as a receptionist in 2004 and stepped up to the role of Practice Manager in 2007.
