We welcomed Dr Julian into our practice in 2021. He has a warm, friendly approach to dental care, and he’s especially popular with children and anxious patients. Calming dental anxiety is a focus of his practice.
Dr Julian’s particular interests in dentistry include temporomandibular joint disorders, paediatric (children’s) dentistry, restorative and preventive dentistry.

Rachael is an excellent clinician who respects all her patients’ needs and performs her work with an eye for detail. Our patients appreciate her thorough approach to patient care and her dedication to helping patients keep their mouth healthy for life. As a dental hygienist, Rachael’s role involves the cleaning and polishing of teeth, treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, taking X-rays and impressions and giving advice to help patients prevent dental problems.

Annika Johansson. Dental Hygienist
Annika has been a part of the Preventive Dentistry team since 1992, making her our longest standing team member. She has a quiet pleasant nature which allows her to build an easy rapport with her patients. She grew up in Jonkoping, Sweden. She graduated from Dental Hygiene in 1991 at Falun University for Health Professionals. Prior to this she completed her Dental Assisting course and also studied Social Psychology.

Haerin was raised and completed her schooling in Canberra. She worked as a dental assistant in Canberra before deciding she wanted to further her studies and become a dental hygienist. Haerin completed her Dental Hygiene qualifications in Adelaide and is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association of Australia.

Donna Shaw. Practice Manager
As Practice Manager, Donna has the role of ensuring the practice runs smoothly and that both patients and staff are well looked after. Always ready for a friendly chat, but efficient at the same time, Donna is the go-to person at the Practice. She grew up in Sydney and came to Canberra in 2002. She joined Preventive Dentistry as a receptionist in 2004 and stepped up to the role of Practice Manager in 2007.
